Inter Milan stands just 90 minutes away from the European win as they prepare to face Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final in Munich. While the PSG has had the focus point most times, the youthful players and their ability to win games are one thing we all look at.
It’s the experience, cohesion, and tactical intelligence of the Inter Milan coach, Simone Inzaghi’s side, that could prove the ability to win the match, since they are a more experienced side in big games like this.
The Nerazzurri are eyeing their fourth European Cup title, having previously triumphed in 1964, 1965, and 2010. With a squad loaded with battle-tested veterans and a coach who has already taken them to a final just two years ago, Inter arrive in Germany with quiet confidence and a proven formula for success.

Their route to the final has been nothing short of impressive. Inter eliminated tournament Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals and followed it up with a semi-final win over Barcelona, remembered by an unforgettable second-leg performance in the rain at San Siro. These results have solidified their status as the most fought and disciplined team in this competition.
“We’ve come through the toughest tests and earned our place in this final,” said Inzaghi, whose likely starting XI includes as many as eight players from the 2023 final. “Now, to truly make history, we must finish the job in Munich.”
Inter’s strategy of 3-5-2 formation has consistently frustrated big opponents. Their defensive players have been nearly impenetrable, while midfielders like Nicolò Barella and Hakan Çalhanoğlu have provided control and creativity.
In contrast, PSG head into the final with a squad full of youthful exuberance and attacking flair under coach Luis Enrique. With an average squad age under 24, the Parisians have lit up Europe this season, overcoming Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal en route to the final. Ousmane Dembélé has had the scoring 33 goals, while new arrivals like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola have also been impressive so far..
However, PSG’s inexperience at this stage, then combined with the massive pressure of chasing their first Champions League title, may prove difficult. Despite years of heavy investment and superstar names, the club has never lifted Europe’s top prize and is appearing in only their second final since the 2011 Qatari takeover.
“PSG are a talented side, no doubt,” said Inzaghi. “But they haven’t faced a team with our chemistry, experience, and tactical edge. We know what it takes to win at this level.”
While Luis Enrique seeks to win his second Champions League title, Inter Milan carry the weight of tradition—and the hunger of a team ready to reclaim their place at the summit of European football.
If Inter lift the trophy in Munich, they will become four-time European champions, reinforcing their legacy as one of the continent’s great clubs. And with the final taking place in the same city where Marseille beat AC Milan in 1993, perhaps history is ready to favour Italian grit once again.
