The Chicago Bulls seem to be keeping continuity in their front office intact.
According to reporting by the Chicago Sun-Times, executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley have likely signed contract extensions, though the team has made no formal announcement.
Sun-Times journalist Joe Cowley revealed that Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf traditionally does not announce executive contract renewals publicly. However, a team source indicated that re-signing both Karnisovas and Eversley was considered a necessary step before finalizing a new deal with head coach Billy Donovan.

The news of their extensions was first reported by Drew Stevens of The Bigs via a post on Bluesky.
Speaking shortly after the regular season concluded, Karnisovas expressed confidence in his job status, attributing it to a strong working relationship with both Jerry and Michael Reinsdorf.
“We take pride, especially in this building, in everybody being on the same page,” Karnisovas said. “It’s very hard to accomplish, but that’s how it is in this building between the ownership, front office, coaching staff, performance staff, so they have always been very supportive of my decisions, my thoughts, about this direction.”
On Sunday, Marc Stein reported that the Bulls were actively working on an extension with Donovan. Cowley added that the deal is nearly done, with discussions ongoing since the season ended.
There were reports that the New York Knicks were interested in interviewing Donovan for their head coaching role, but the Bulls reportedly denied them permission. Cowley noted, however, that Donovan wasn’t inclined to leave Chicago, particularly under the current Knicks leadership. He’s known to appreciate the collaborative atmosphere in the Bulls front office, especially Karnisovas’ openness to his feedback on roster and strategy decisions.
This will mark the second contract extension for Donovan, who still has one year remaining on his current agreement.
